Due to the natural nature of Cable Sleeve, the physical properties and performance levels of all Cable Sleeve products vary. Accelerated change due to several factors or a combination of factors. Other materials used to reinforce Peek Braided Sleeve may also be negatively affected by inappropriate storage conditions. The following recommendations include a series of precautions to minimize the degradation of items in storage.
1. Storage time
A rotation planning system should be employed to minimize the storage time of
PEEK Braided Sleeve. If prolonged storage cannot be avoided and the following recommendations cannot be adhered to, the PEEK
Braided Sleeve should be thoroughly inspected prior to use.
2. Physical storage conditions
The storage of PEEK Braided Sleeve must avoid mechanical stress, including excessive stretching, compression or deformation, and avoid contact with sharp or pointed objects. PEEK Braided Sleeve are preferably stored on suitable racks, or placed on dry ground. Coiled rubber tubes must be stored horizontally, and PEEK Braided Sleeve should not be stacked. If stacking cannot be avoided, the height of the stack should not permanently deform the underlying PEEK Braided Sleeve. As a rule, try to avoid wrapping PEEK Braided Sleeve around posts or hooks.
3. Temperature and humidity
Recommended storage temperature: 10°C to 25°C. Note: Do not store PEEK Braided Sleeve at temperatures above 40°C or below 0°C. Special care should be taken when moving PEEK Braided Sleeve below -15°C. PEEK Braided Sleeve should not be stored near heat sources, and the relative humidity should not exceed 65%.
4. Exposure to heat sources
The temperature limits stated in point three must be observed. If this is not possible, a heat shield should be used to protect the PEEK Braided Sleeve from the heat source.
5. Exposure to Light
The storage room used to store PEEK Braided Sleeve should be kept dark, especially avoid direct sunlight or strong artificial light on PEEK Braided Sleeve. If storage rooms have windows or any openings covered by glass, they should be screened.
6. Exposure to Oxygen and Ozone
PEEK Braided Sleeve should be properly packaged or stored in airtight containers to avoid exposure to air. Equipment that emits ozone, which has a particularly strong effect on all Cable Sleeve products, must be kept away from storage rooms.
